For those of you keeping up with the HOG Ride365 Ride Challenges, you are aware of the Dealer Checkin Challenge. For those of you who aren't, the Ride Challenge is really simple - ride up to an HD Dealership, snap a pic with you, your bike, and a current 'Enthusiast' magazine cover, and upload it to www.HOG.com/Ride365 under Dealership Check-In Challenge. For every dealership you submit, you get a point. 10 or more gets you a pin, a patch, and a bandana (images to come soon!). 100 or more gets you all that PLUS a $25 gift card. First, second, and third place points winners gets all that PLUS plaques and recognition in the HD Museum and $1,500, $1,000 and $500 respectively.

Of the million plus HOG members, there were only 337 participants that made 10 or more dealerships in 2020.
Of the five pariticipants from Louisiana, four were from our own Cajun HOG Chapter! Congrats to Rodney Wooten (22), Sarah Brown (10), and Scott Benoit (11) for getting their names on the 2020 list with me!
FYI, Louisiana has 12 HD Shops, including two t-shirt shops in New Orleans, and taking pics at these dealerships will also earn you your Cajun Corners Dealership Patch. www.cajunhog.com/chapter-challenge-patches
I 'discovered' the Ride365 challenges in July 2020. My first goal was to hit 10 Dealerships, and get the patch. I had visited all the Louisiana Dealers in 2019 for the Cajun Corners Dealership Patch, so I wanted to do something different this go round. I started looking at the map on HD.com and decided that running out to the Houston area could get me the 10 needed in a single weekend (counting Cajun, LC, Beaumont, then the Houston area). After I knocked those out, I decided that I wanted to make the first page of the Dealer Check-In participants list, so I started altering my trip routes include Dealerships in the vicinity. The best take away I can share about adding dealers to my trips is that it FORCED me to get off of the beaten path, and see sites that I would have otherwise missed. New River Gorge Bridge, the Talon, and many great roads in Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Virginias (see www.freemanmaps.com www.wildrides.info). In addition, a LOT of the shops are just too cool to miss. Many of them have mini motorcycle museums along their walls and throughout their showrooms. Some even have cold beer on tap for patrons. 103 Check-Ins and Poker Chips later, I've already started over for 2021 with about 40 under my belt.
I know some of these challenges aren't for everyone, but for those of us who like doing what few others can or will, this is a really easy way to see the diversity surrounding us!
